Boutique Re-Furbishment
Scope: Belle Armoire clothing boutique in central Orange was in need of a re-fresh. The loose, relaxed style of the clothes and accessories just didn’t gel with the industrial fit-out.
With a minimal budget, we came up with a plan to soften the space and give it a luxurious boho vibe…adding layers of rattan, linen and leather.
A key addition was the lighting, which we off-set over the central display area to open up the space. Perhaps the biggest impact though, was achieved by tiling the front counter with a hand-made encaustic tiles to create a real focal point and draw customers into the shop.
Adding additional track lights also brightened the room, and shifted the focus back to the clothes.
We designed bespoke saloon doors in-set with rattan, which were brought to life by local carpenter & builder Michael from Holm & Wood. Along with the gold wall sconces, and textiles in rich mustards and terracotta, it helped to create a private and inviting sanctuary in the change-rooms.
